Oklahoma singer/songwriter, Beverly Perry, making international news, sweeps the 2015 International UK Songwriting Contest by advancing to the semi-finals in an unheard of six genres. Description: Lawton Oklahoma singer/songwriter Beverly Perry has eleven entires that have advanced to the semi-finals in the 2015 International UK Songwriting Contest out of over 7000 entries. Perry is getting noticed by key music industry professionals who have advanced her originals to the semi-finals in pop, acoustic folk, country, adult contemporary, and christian/ gospel categories, as well as the singer/songwriter category, which is also judged on vocal performance.
“I was shocked to learn that my original tunes were resonating with different judges across all genres I submitted to. It was very unexpected”
The UK Songwriting Contest is one of the world’s longest running and most popular international songwriting events, in association with prestigious bodies such as The BRIT Trust (of BRIT Awards fame), The BRIT Studio, The BRIT School, Music Aid UK and top British producers and international industry professionals with the aim of “discovering and encouraging new songwriting talent and promoting the craft of songwriting”.
Every year the event becomes more international with entries from around the world and with appearances of winners on major network TV shows worldwide. It is well known in the international music business as an important launching pad for new songwriting talent. Among the hopefuls advancing to the 2015 semi-finals is Oklahoma’s own, Beverly Perry, whose song “It Was Real” made it to the finals in the country music category in 2014.
Diagnosed with a rare genetic disease, Acute Intermittent Porphyria, Perry was forced to leave her career with a medical company and move back to Oklahoma in 2012. “I found that songwriting was a needed creative outlet. For me, it’s not about winning awards. There is something healing about creativity.” Songs in the contest are judged solely on composition, with exception of the singer/ songwriter category in which vocal performance is also judged . Perry entered three songs in the singer/songwriter category this year, with all three advancing to the semi- finals. Placing in six categories with eleven entries, Beverly Perry says, “I am honored to have so many songs selected to be among the semi-finalists. The competition is stiff and music can be subjective.” She adds, “I’m keeping my fingers crossed that at least one song will be a finalist again this year. It would be a dream to win a category. I am just happy that I have been chosen to advance in multiple genres this year.”
Among the 2015 judges are top music industry names: Shelly Peiken – a Multi-Platinum Album, Grammy nominated hit songwriter who is well known for her #1 hits “What a Girl Wants” and “Come On Over Baby” with Christina Aguilera, and songs recorded by Meat Loaf, Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, Ronan Keating, Backstreet Boys, Cher, Gladys Knight, Gloria Gaynor, Lindsay Lohan, Jessie J, Ed Sheeran, NSYNC and many more. Stuart Epps – Stuart is particularly well known for his work with Elton John, Robbie Williams, Led Zeppelin, Bill Wyman, George Harrison, Paul Weller, Oasis and many others. Marc (Kipper) Eldridge – He has two Grammy Awards and also an Emmy Award and his albums have sold more than 15 million copies. He has produced and worked with Sting, Stevie Wonder, James Morrison, Mary J Blige, James Taylor, Richard Marx, Clay Aiken, Chris Botti, Gary Numan, Catherine Zeta Jones and Curtis Stigers among many others. Lucie Diamond – Female Artist of the Year and also Country Artist of the Year at The European Country Awards. Lucie has worked with Multi Grammy Award winners Delbert Mcclinton and Albert Lee and a host of international songwriters including Garth Brooks’ writing partner Kent Blazy. Simon Ellis – Musical Director for the Britney Spears’ world tour, and also as MD for The Spice Girls, Belinda Carlisle, East 17, D:Ream and Jamelia. He has also written and produced songs for John Farnham, Randy Crawford, Emma Bunton, Steps, Hearsay, D Side, Javine, Maria Lawson, S Club 7. He is a winner of the BRIT Award for Best Song and ITV Record of the Year and has been nominated for an Ivor Novello Award. Mark Cawley – Sold over 15 million copies worldwide. He has written or co-written songs for The Spice Girls, Tina Turner, Chaka Khan, Diana Ross, Joe Cocker, Wynonna Judd, Kathy Mattea, Russ Taff, Paul Carrack, Will Downing, Tom Scott and more. He has also worked with legendary songwriter Burt Bacharach and he had a UK number one hit with Billie Piper’s song Day and Night. The finals will be announced in December.
Many past entrants have been noticed and signed by publishers, producers, and record companies. Perry says, “It is a great opportunity for songwriters. It’s an honor just to be heard by music industry professionals”.

What Is Twitter?
Twitter is a social network and micro-blogging platform that allows you to send 140-character “tweets”. With these tweets, you can let your people know what you’re up to, share links and cool resources, communicate with your customers, drive traffic to your website, and much more.
According to the Twitter website, Twitter allows you to answer the question, “What are you doing?”
Twitter allows you to communicate without the hassle of writing out long blog posts or emails. The format of the Tweet allows you to get away with a link and a few words that can be sent on the go from your cell phone.
And this tweet can potentially reach thousands of customers or business prospects, driving them to your website or blog, and drawing attention to your products.
In turn, you will receive notices whenever someone you are following Tweets something. You can receive instant notification in your browser, cell phone, email, and even on IM clients like AIM or MSN Messenger. Basically, it’s more or less impossible NOT to keep touch with your Twitter friends & followers, even if you’re out and on the go.
Twitter’s extremely simple interface and ease of use is probably one of the reasons why it has caught on like crazy.
Twitter was launched in 2006 by Jack Dorsey, and in 2008/2009 it practically exploded in popularity.
All kinds of celebrities use Twitter on a regular basis to communicate with their fans and followers, from musicians and actresses, to professional athletes and even political figures! Twitter allows us to sneak a peak at what our favorite celebrities are up to. Politicians like Obama use it as a campaign tool.
Even large corporations and television networks use Twitter, such as CNN, Amazon, Dell, and ESPN.
Twitter has also been recognized as serving a role in journalism. When US Airways Flight 1549 crashed into the Hudson River, the first photograph was taken by a Twitter user and sent to Twitpic – long before the media arrived.
Twitter users on the ground tweeted about the 2008 Mumbai attacks, compiling lists of the dead and injured and offering important information like emergency room numbers.
Twitter has also been heavily used to organize and rally political dissent and keep a stream of communication open between protesters when governments have tried to suppress them, as in the 2009 Iranian presidential elections.
Okay, so none of that stuff really has to do with internet marketing, but the purpose is to show you that Twitter is indeed an incredibly powerful tool capable of reaching out to thousands or millions of people!
Authors not utilizing Twitter to its fullest benefit are definitely missing out and I’m about to show you why!
Why Twitter Is An Effective Marketing Tool
Many authors fail to see what the big deal is regarding Twitter. They read Tweets about what someone ate for breakfast or what color shirt they’re wearing. They might sign up only to stare at a bare, lonely screen with zero followers.
Initially, it might be difficult to see the potential. But once you get started, Twitter has a tendency to “snowball” into a HUGE deal for authos – one that is absolutely essential for the growth of their platform and their exposure on the internet.
How Can You Use Twitter?
Here are just a few of the ways Twitter can help to benefit your global author platform:
Establishing rapport with your customers / readers.
Twitter allows for a bit more personal, less formal, more fun mode of communication. It allows them to catch a glimpse of you just as a regular person sending SMS texts from Wal-Mart, rather than as a serious, detached blogger or business owner.
Why is this useful? It allows people to connect and relate to you on a personal level – it makes you look just like a “regular Joe”, especially if you include random/fun tweets among the more serious, author-driven tweets.
Keeping your customers / readers updated.
With a blog, you might only update once or twice per week. With Twitter, you might send a handful of tweets per day, keeping your followers “in the loop” and reminding them of your existence.
Of course, it’s not recommended to send a million tweets per day. This will only serve to annoy people and they will likely unfollow you.
Building a loyal, steady customer-base:
“BUILD A LIST!” As an author, I’m sure you’ve heard this refrain many times over. Building a list is one of the most vital steps you can take in the advancement of your online business. Twitter is pretty much the same as building a list – although it might be even more effective in the long run.
When it comes to an email list, a large portion of your subscribers won’t even glance at the emails you send. Their eyes will glaze over and they may even send it to the trash. With Twitter, your followers will see all of your Tweets. They’ll digest its information in about half a second and if you include a link, they probably won’t get offended.
Chances are, if you included an eye-catching description, they’ll probably click it! Additionally, it won’t SEEM like you are marketing to them, because you’re just another Twitter user tweeting about random stuff!
Building up excitement for a book launch:
Just like with an email list, Twitter can be used to build up excitement about an upcoming book launch. It can start with occasional Tweets about your “new project”, and by keeping your followers up to date and offering freebies and cool stuff that they’ll appreciate, you’ll build trust and anticipation. When your book launches, a well-timed Tweet may likely be just as effective as a blast to your email list.
Driving traffic to your website or blog:
Wouldn’t it be great if you could instantly notify hundreds or thousands of people every time you update your blog? Twitter makes this possible. It essentially acts as an RSS feed. By building a sizable list of followers, you pretty much have access to an instant source of traffic to your website or blog.
People who would otherwise not be aware of updates and new content will be notified, giving them a chance to check it out. If your blog is high-quality, people will keep an eye out for more of your Tweets.
Building relationships with business contacts.
Twitter makes it easy to keep in touch with business partners and contacts. Traditional instant messaging is on its way out, and you’ll find that most savvy internet marketers use Twitter as their primary social networking tool. So take advantage of this fact! Hook up with your contacts so you can work on building a closer relationship.
Crowd-sourcing is a unique form of outsourcing. It works by calling on your friends, fans, followers, email subscribers, etc. to contribute ideas and solutions. Basically, it is a form of “group intelligence”.
By listening to the crowd, marketers and business owners can figure out the exact thoughts, needs, and wants of their customer base. In this way, innovative new ideas and strategies are born that are guaranteed to fall in line with the desires of the consumer.
By directly asking your followers what type of book cover they’d like to see developed, or what their biggest setbacks are, or what they liked/disliked most about your last book, you can gain an incredibly amount of insight!
Twitter provides a perfect platform for crowd-sourcing.
Social networking sites give us a great opportunity to ‘go viral’. This means that you Tweet about something that really catches people’s attention. Your followers are impressed, so they re-Tweet it.
In turn, each of their followers re-Tweet it, and so on and so on, and soon your little Tweet spreads like wildfire, snowballing into a huge storm of clicks and traffic.
Of course, TRYING to make something go viral probably won’t work. It tends to just happen on its own. Tweeting “Hey guys buy my new book click here” will never go viral, obviously. But if you find something really interesting, little-known, valuable, funny, etc., you might have a chance.
Very often, Tweets go viral without anyone really expecting or planning on it. This is just one of the many amazing benefits of social networking.
Fortunately for you, Twitter is probably one of the most user-friendly websites out there. It is practically impossible to get lost or confused when creating an account or setting up your profile. Nevertheless, I’ve provided a simple walkthrough for you.
Signing Up With Twitter
On the Twitter main page, simply click the green “Sign Up Now” button. You’ll have to enter your first and last name and your preferred username. This could be your own name, your blog’s name, your book’s name, main character’s name, etc. Whatever “brand” you want to build, use that as your username.
First you’ll be able to browse through the Twitter accounts of various celebrities, politicians, businesses, corporations, etc. Follow the ones of interest.
Next you can search your inbox for your contacts that are already on Twitter. Finally, the last step will be to search the names of others who you would like to follow.
That’s it! Yeah, it pretty much doesn’t get any easier than that.
Creating Your Profile
If you wish to stand out on Twitter, it’s recommended that you customize your profile. Upload a picture to use as your avatar – if your brand is you, upload a nice, friendly photograph of yourself. Otherwise you could make it your business logo, etc.
It is also possible to change the background of your Twitter profile. Go to the “Design” tab under “Settings” and you can either select one of Twitter’s default backgrounds or upload one of your own. If you want to truly stand out, I recommend uploading one of your own. Just make sure the picture isn’t too busy or your Twitter profile will look very unprofessional and give people a headache.
Twitter Language / Symbols
As with most modern inventions, there is a certain “language” you’ll have to learn when it comes to using Twitter. When I first signed up, I was incredibly confused about what all of this stuff means. But I quickly got the hang of it and so will you!
• Retweet (RT): This means that the Tweet was originally posted by someone else and you are reposting it because you want to spread the word, you think it’s funny, etc.
• Hash tag (#): Typing # followed by a keyword will categorize your Tweet so that others can easily find it by performing a search. Once you start using Twitter, you’ll realize that MANY people use the hash tag in their Tweets – this can indicate a theme or trend that is quickly being spread through the Twit-o-sphere.
• @ symbol: Placing the @ symbol directly before a username shows that you are directly addressing that person (but the Tweet is still public). Clicking the arrow button when you hover over a user’s tweet will let you do this automatically.
• Direct Message (DM): Typing d followed by a username will allow you to send them a Direct Message rather than having your Tweet appear publicly.
• Overheard (OH): OH at the beginning of the Tweet means that you overheard something funny/interesting that is not your own original idea.
• Nudge: Typing Nudge followed by a username will send the user a reminder to update and start tweeting again.
• FAV: Typing FAV followed by a username will favorite that user’s last Tweet.
• GET: GET followed by a username will retrieve the user’s last few updates.
How to Get Followers
Okay, so you’ve registered an account and set up your profile. You now understand the basics of Twitter symbols/language. And you’re most likely following a few people.
Of course, Twitter is useless as a marketing tool if you don’t have followers, so this should be your main objective.
First of all, go to your website, Facebook, Myspace, and any other social networking sites you use. Post a link to your new Twitter account in your status update, urging people to follow you.
In your email, put the Twitter link in your signature, and do the same for forums (some forums will put your link in a Twitter symbol under your username and avatar).
If you already have an email list, send out a blast talking about your new Twitter account and encouraging them to follow you. If you have a blog, write a post about it. If you use WordPress or Blogger, you’ll also want to install a plugin that will easily allow your visitors to follow you. I’ll cover that in more depth later on.
Basically, make your Twitter account visible wherever you have an internet presence.
Another way to gain followers is by simply following others. When you follow someone, they are notified by email. Very often, they’ll be curious about you, check out your profile, and likely follow you back.
However, you have to be strategic. Don’t expect results by following celebrities or extremely popular users, as they probably won’t even notice you. Don’t follow random strangers – why on earth would they be interested in you or what you’re selling anyway?
One awesome function of Twitter is the ability to search what people are talking about. If you have a book about gardening, you can search the keyword “gardening” and it will pull up everyone Tweeting about gardening.
You can even search for phrases such as, “need help gardening” or “plants keep dying”, etc. This way, you can find people in your niche who are suffering from a problem that you can (hopefully) resolve.
Keep in mind that you can only follow 1,000 people each day. It sounds like a lot, but if you use the Twitter search engine you might reach that limit sooner than you think. You will also cap out at 2,000 until at least 2,000 follow you back.
There are various programs and online services that allow you to follow and unfollow people automatically, rather than going through the process manually (which can be an extremely tiring, boring process). I’ll be covering those later.
You should learn to treat Twitter seriously, just as you do all of your other business ventures. Learning proper Twitter etiquette is an important aspect of this.
• Don’t tweet constantly! This should be obvious, but it’s remarkable how many people hundreds of times in a single day. Be strategic with your tweets. There is no “magic number” – just use your intuition and you should be fine.
• Stay consistent. Tweet every day, or at least every other day. Tweeting once a week or once a month will not accomplish anything – it kind of defeats the purpose of being on Twitter altogether. People will forget who you are and why they decided to follow you in the first place.
• Only tweet about things that matter. The occasional “Wow these french fries are tasty” is fine – it shows your followers that you’re human and that there’s more to you than selling and marketing. But do NOT go overboard.
Usually the people who tweet hundreds of times a day are tweeting about trivial subjects that no one cares about. If you feel the need to tweet about your shoelaces or the zit on your cheek, register a second, personal Twitter account to share this kind of stuff with friends/family only – NOT your customers or business prospects.
• If you want to use Twitter like an instant messaging client, make sure that you are sending Direct Messages rather than publishing your tweets publicly. Chatting with someone over Twitter will clog up your followers’ feeds and can be very, very annoying. Users may unfollow you as a result. So use common sense and download MSN or something if you want to chat in real time.
• No hard selling. Constantly tweeting “New blog post”, “New book buy it now!”, “Great software, check it out”, etc. etc. will not yield great results. Your followers will start viewing your tweets as SPAM. You will not gain a good reputation, you will not build trust, and you will not sell anything. Sorry. Twitter is meant for the SOFT sell – so you’ll have to work on that.
Providing Value On Twitter
So now that I’ve told you what NOT to do when it comes to Twitter… you might be wondering, “what should I tweet about?”
Just as with your blog, website, and forum posts, your main goal should be to provide value. If you can manage to do that, you’re golden!
Here are easy ways to provide value that don’t take much effort at all:
• Retweet an interesting update from someone that you’re following.
• Offer links to free and interesting stuff, like articles, pictures, and videos (not all your own stuff).
• Comment on current events / news.
• Post funny/profound/inspiring quotes.
• Tweet about interesting things that happened in your day or upcoming events that you’re excited about. (actual things that your followers will be interested in, not the new episode of American Idol airing tonight…. unless your niche is American Idol of course!)
• Find something on Digg, Stumbleupon, etc. that really catches your attention. Write a blog post about it first, and then link to your blog post in your tweet. This way, instead of linking directly to the source, you’re linking to your own blog. If it’s something really neat it may go viral, causing a potential hurricane of traffic.
After you have been on Twitter for a while, look at your tweet history. Are you selling too hard? Not selling enough? Are you providing value with your tweets or just rambling on about random stuff every day? Would YOU follow yourself?
Analyze your tweets carefully and modify your strategy accordingly. Just as with a PPC campaign, monitor, track, and make changes as needed.
Writing Eye-Catching, Interesting Tweets
Twitter won’t do you much good if no one bothers to click your links. Writing eye-catching, interesting tweets involves the same general concept as writing strong e-mail headlines. You must pique their interest and make them curious to see what you have to offer.
• Ask a provocative question. “Will’s Obama’s new tax reforms bring your small business to its knees?”
• Write a headline that sounds like news. “New Twitter software revolutionizes social networking!”
• Blunt, direct statements. “Free CPA Short Report – No Optin Required”
• Lists. “Ten Reasons Why You Need To Trash Your Iphone”
• How-to tweets. “How to get 1000 visitors to your blog – overnight!”
As you can see, it’s not really rocket science. Just be creative. Instead of tweeting, “New Cookbook released today! Get it now!”, think of all the different ways you could say roughly the same thing in a more interesting fashion.
• “Revolutionary New Cookbook Kicks Rachel Ray’s Butt!”
• “How much would you pay to kick Rachel Ray’s Butt?”
• “What if I told you that everything you know about cooking – IS WRONG?”
• “Tired of crap for breakfast? Get the cookbook that ACTUALLY WORKS.”
• “10 Reasons Why Your Cooking Stinks – And How To Fix It”
You get the idea.
If you’re using bit.ly to shorten your URLs, you can actually track your links. This way, you can find out which headline is bringing in the most clicks, and replicate it again and again.
Of course, as I mentioned before, these “eye-catching” headline tweets should only be tossed in here and there. Keep the majority of your tweets free of advertising altogether, or people will quickly become fed up with your blatant, desperate marketing attempts.
Most popular blogs are integrated in some way with the author’s Twitter account. Establishing links between all of your online platforms is crucial to building your online presence. Your blog readers can become your followers, and vice versa.
There are several different plugins / widgets to choose from.
• Tweetmeme Button: Allows your blog posts to be retweeted with the click of a button.
• TweetThis Button: Allows users to share your blog posts on Twitter.
• The Twitter Updater: Automatically publishes updates to your Twitter account when new posts or changes are made to your blog.
• Twitter Tools: Integrates your blog and Twitter account, allowing you to easily put tweets on your blog and blog links in your tweets, all from the WordPress control panel.
• Twitt-twoo: Tweet directly from the sidebar of your blog (pretty cool!)
• Twitter Feed: Automatically post your blog updates on your Twitter account. You can also use this for feeding posts from other blogs.
• Wicket Twitter Widget: Display your tweets on the sidebar of your blog.
• TweetSuite: Integrates Twitter and WordPress, automatically tweets about new posts, gives you Retweet and Tweet This buttons, etc.
• TwitterCounter: Places a counter on your blog stating (bragging about) the number of followers you have.
• NewsTweet: Input keywords or keyword phrases and this plugin will pull “news feeds” in your niche from Twitter to add to your sidebar.
• Hootsuite: Twitter desktop client that allows you to tweet remotely, keep track your followers, direct messages, replies, etc. It supports multiple Twitter accounts and is an awesome tool to have. You can keep track of Twitter without having to constantly visit the Twitter website.
• Twitpic: Share your pictures and photographs on Twitter.
• Twitbin: Firefox plugin that allows you to monitor your Twitter conversations from a sidebar in your browser. A great way to multi-task and keep an eye on your Twitter account while you’re busy doing other things.
• GroupTweet: Lets you send a tweet to only a select group of people.
• Twilert: Sign up for email alerts whenever someone tweets about a particular keyword or mentions your name/product.
• Qwitter: Sign up for email alerts when someone stops following you.
• TweetLater/Social Oomph: Automates the tweeting process. Input as many tweets as you want and schedule them to be released at certain times.
• TweetTake: Backup your Twitter account and followers. Twitter is not immune to black-outs and hackers. In July 2008, hundreds of Twitter users lost scores of followers literally overnight. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
Twitter Tips and Secrets
Here is a random compilation of Twitter tips & secrets that you can use to maximize your earning potential with Twitter in your marketing efforts!
• If you have tons of followers, chances are good that not all of them will read every tweet that you send. If you got a good reaction or a good bit of traffic from one of your tweets, try posting it again at another time. Preface it with something like, “Did you miss this?” or “Last week retweet”.
• If you have lots of friends on Facebook, there is an application you can use to integrate your Twitter feed into your Facebook feed. This can lead to more followers and larger exposure overall. An application called Twittersync will actually post each tweet as a status update on your Facebook page.
• Interact with your followers and take an active interest in them by replying to their tweets and retweeting. Schmooze with them – offer compliments, joke around, etc. Remember that Twitter is a community.
• If your goal is growing your author platform, be direct with your Bio. Tell them exactly who you are. “I’m a mystery writer and blogger living in LA!” Don’t post random song lyrics or an inside joke.
• Remember that everything you do on Twitter represents your brand. Tweeting “OMG I got so drunk last night I barfed up nachos on my friend’s shoes” probably isn’t the best image to portray, unless your demographic happens to be male college students or something like that.
• Don’t get addicted to Twitter. Checking it every five minutes will start to interfere with the rest of your life and your business. Keep a schedule and force yourself to check it no more than every two hours or so. If you intend to publish a tweet, it’s easy to start reading up on everyone ‘s tweets, and before you know it, half an hour has passed and you can’t remember what you were going to tweet about in the first place.
So we have reached the end. What have we learned today?
• Twitter is fun
• Twitter is easy
• Twitter can drive insane amounts of traffic to your site/blog building your global author platform
• Twitter can help to build your brand
• Twitter can help to find new business contacts
• Twitter can connect you to millions of people around the world in real-time
• Twitter is THE FUTURE!
Quite a rap sheet, isn’t it? I hope you have gained enough knowledge and power from this book to go out and take advantage of the Twitter Boom! If you don’t, your author platform will surely be left sitting in the dust.

Are your images getting indexed by google? Do you know how to optimize your photos?
There are over 100 factors that must be considered when creating positive SEO for clients. Photo optimization is often overlooked as a very crucial element in photo marketing in your business. While having sharp photos alone will not help your google rank, having properly titled, tagged, and labeled photos can and will help your blog content get found and indexed more efficiently by search engines. Do a google search and see that you can search under: images, news, shopping, places, videos, and photos.
5 Tips for Better Photo Marketing
1) Have a long-term photo marketing strategy. From google earth to google maps to google places to google local-your customer’s want to be able to find you. And properly placed and tagged photos is a big part of that strategy. Look at where your company and your industry is headed and do some vision casting and white boarding into the new blue ocean of where you want to go. Then begin to create your future there in real-time, online, and in the virtual world. I have a friend who gets 70,000 views per month at Tulsa Food Blog. You can see how they use pictures and text to interact with their fans and how many comments, reviews, and downloads they get.
2) Crowd-source your photo marketing. If I am a restaurant owner I am having photo contests. I would do the same if I were a professional photographer. We are currently working with a Non-Profit that does Wildlife Conservation in South Africa, Nikela.org is based out of Austin, TX they rely heavily on friends, partners and activists around the globe to source them with photos and videos. They have had several video and photo contests and have created some great awareness using photo campaigns. I want as many people taking photos, tagging photos, and commenting photos online as possible. On Facebook, Twitpic, Flickr, everywhere! When someone comments a photo or tags a photo-BAM it shows up in everyone’s news feed and gives the opportunity for friends who may be passionate about your cause to find you!
3. Create a photo album for each revenue vertical of your company. For example if I am a photographer and my primary 3 verticals are: Weddings, Senior portraits and Family portraits then I will create 3 separate photo albums and frequently add content (photos) that are tagged, titled and tweeted out. Every time you re-load to this photo album, on Facebook for example, the comments get re-populated within the timeline/news feeds.
4. Adopt a Cause-Give Back & Capture it All Online Unlike the newspaper, billboard, radio and television advertising; what you put online will be available in cyber-spaced and retrievable virtually forever. Since the corporate melt-down days of Enron and Arthur Andersen, the public wants to connect with real people and real faces. The internet, Twitter, Facebook and open forums have facilitated a dialouge that can benefit end consumers and companies. By adopting a cause that your business, team, investors and founders can benefit, create awareness and gain some incredible exposure by working with. These photos will help create a culture of team work, community empowerment and cooperative networking-all from a few photos!
Two non-profit organizations M3 has been pleased to work with is SCTNow.org & OATHCoalition.orgM3 New Media has also consulted with a for-profit company Child Safety, Inc. that utilizes a patented technology within digital photos to decrease the time it takes law enforcement to issue an Amber Alert from 50 minutes to 10 minutes. So in this example with Child Safety, Inc. (CSI) you could say that photos are not just for marketing and SEO; they can also be used to save lives!
5. Be consistent and Have Fun! With the advent of the iphone, Android and a dozen other smart phones, now is the time to unleash your inner Rock Star and have fun with photos. I think the future of marketing, living and interacting will be online. If a Baby-Boomer’s house was burning, the first thing they would grab as they run out the door would be the photo album. Generation X and the Millennials would grab the dog and the iphone. Flickr recently celebrated 5 Billion photo uploads and this was the photo they chose to feature:

The comprehensive MBA Admissions Interview Guide From Former University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business Admissions Committee Interviewer, Insider And Guest Lecturer. Nick H. Kamboj Announces Limited-Time Pre-Release Of His E-book For $0.99 Cents On Amazon Kindle To Compliment The Companion Print Book That Retails For $100. Full Story by M3 New Media on PRWeb.com 4/11/17
The U.S. News & World Report and other reputable news sources state that admissions to top-tier business schools become increasingly more challenging. Acceptance into a top-tier MBA program in the U.S. is statistically between 3-16%. This means that out of every 100 prospective MBA applicants, only 3 to 16 individuals will get acceptance offers.
One of the most crucial and decisive factors in the business school’s decision to accept a prospective MBA candidate, is the face-to-face interview. Former University of Chicago Booth School of Business Admissions Committee Member, Interviewer and Guest Lecturer, Nick H. Kamboj has interviewed hundreds of prospective business school candidates. Author Nick H. Kamboj has taken his vast experience in body language interpretation, strategic interviewing and effective communication, and developed a highly effective and persuasive MBA admissions interviewing framework.
“Getting into a Top Ten MBA program in the U.S. last year was slightly harder than it was only a year earlier. An analysis of acceptance rates at leading business schools showed that Top Ten schools admitted just 15.6% of their applicants last year, the lowest level in at least four years. A year earlier, Top Ten schools accepted 16.4% of their applicant pools, while in 2012, they admitted 17.0%”
Few personal and professional ventures can be more daunting or more rewarding than gaining acceptance into an applicant’s dream MBA program. The competition and the preparation have become extremely fierce, and nearly all prospective business school applicants are searching for the competitive edge to crack the code and tilt the odds in their favor.
“Salaries continue to increase for students graduating from top tier MBA programs, with graduates from schools such as Chicago Booth and Stanford reporting salaries over $300,000. As one can imagine, these incentives cause people to seek out any advantage they can obtain over their peers. Applicants hire coaches, paying tens of thousands of dollars for their advice and counsel. But what if you are not one of those fortunate enough to come from the elite strata that can afford such an investment? … I can think of no better way to prepare for the MBA interview than to read and employ the contents in this book [MBA Admissions Interview Guide],” states George C. Andrews, the former Associate Dean of Evening MBA & Weekend MBA Programs University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
“Research shows that interviewers make an initial decision about candidates in the first few minutes. I am making my E-book MBA Admissions Interview Guide $0.99 cents for a limited-time to reach a broader audience of prospective business school candidates who require highly specialized and effective interviewing acumen to ace even the most daunting business school admissions interview. Over the past 10 years, I have advised many candidates to achieve unprecedented business school admissions interviewing success. My own personal success in graduated from a top-tier business school as well as the success of my clients, allows me to state with confidence, that for me, it is never a question of IF you will be accepted to a top-tier MBA program, but only a matter of WHEN.” – Author Nick H. Kamboj

Destined to become a classic, The Perfect Penny Children’s Book Series launching Spring 2017 by Author Serena Brown Travis is designed to help children build up their self-esteem in spite of grim circumstances and ultimately change their otherwise doomed perspectives into a positive mindset. Daughter of renowned motivational speaker Les Brown, Serena strategically intertwines disappointment and defeat with messages of encouragement and inspiration.
“Perfect Penny is assisting me in helping spread positivity into the lives of children and adults. You’ll love the tenacity of Perfect Penny. We can all learn from her!” Les Brown
“I’ve always heard, ‘Evil prevails when good men and women do nothing.’ I’ve always wanted to launch a series of motivational books for children helping them to develop positive self-esteem and a renewed outlook on life. While adults can recognize when they need a push or a jolt of motivation, I think children need characters and storylines they can identify with. Along with many parents, I needed more resources and positive readings for my two children and the Positive Penny Series of books will give parents and children motivational tools and strategies from an early age,” says Author Serena Brown Travis, as she proudly continues her father’s legacy.
School counselors especially love how the books tackle stronger subjects including homelessness, absentee parenting, and hunger while finding a glimmer of hope in each story. Serena is well on her way to reaching her goal of having an impact on the lives of children with the first three books being released this spring.
The younger Brown, with Empowerment Products, the name of her company launching the Perfect Penny brand says, “I plan to launch as many inspirational books as possible. The first three books feature Perfect Penny with all of her heart touching childhood hilarity and authenticity. School counselors especially love how the books tackle stronger subjects including parental neglect, homelessness, and absentee parenting while finding a glimmer of hope in each story. The Perfect Penny Positive Words print version was released in February with the E-book releasing on April 18th is now available for pre-order on Amazon for $1.99. Serena Brown Travis will be on WCMH Columbus channel 4 NBC in April to tell more about why she wrote Perfect Penny.
There are a number of book signings and media interviews planned. For the latest signings, readings and interviews watch the Author’s website at BeyondPublishing.net/AuthorSerenaBrownTravis and for media inquiries email email@example.com.
Perfect Penny Positive Words is the first in the Perfect Penny Book Series; Inspired by the stories of Earl Nightengale, Napoleon Hill, W. Clement Stone, Zig Ziglar, Les Brown and many other great names in the personal development and self-help space. The author, having grown up in the personal development movement, long before it went mainstream and before anyone knew of “The Secret” or the “Law of Attraction” is excited to bring The Perfect Penny Positive Book Series to the world and believes it to be the perfect time!
Perfect Penny is a unique kid. Perfect Penny experiences hard times, disappointments, and bullying, but she is strong and resilient. Perfect Penny finds light in dark situations. It’s Penny’s innocence that helps her deal with and answer life’s tough questions. Perfect Penny’s positive perspective will lift you up and give you confidence to take on life.
Despite her humble start in life Penny finds the resources that empower her to overcome adversity and bring positivity to her life affecting all of those around her with optimism and hope. Perfect Penny is destined to become a classic series for children and a favorite for parents and grandparents for story time, bed time, play time or any time.
Serena Brown Travis says, “We’ve decided to make the first e-book available for $1.99 to give everyone a chance to see what the excitement is about. The vibrant illustrations, the well written story features Penny, who was born in a dumpster finding the tools she needs to not only cope but spread positivity with everyone around by accepting the fact that she was born for greatness.” Publisher Michael D. Butler with Beyond Publishing says, we’ve published a number of children’s books but we are most excited about this series because it has a deeper purpose and global appeal. Children all over the world will benefit from reading this book and we are excited about leveraging The Perfect Penny Series around the globe from Australia, India, Canada, the UK and everywhere. Penny’s infectious spirit rubs off on those around her and opens the door for book #2 Perfect Penny – It’s Not Over Until We Win and book #3 Perfect Penny – My Different World. Books #1 and #2 are available now and book #3 will be released soon.”
“You will love the innocence of Perfect Penny Brown. She has some pretty tough circumstances to deal with and she seems to always find a positive spin to her story. I believe we are all like Perfect Penny. Life can deal us some major hits, but if we use optimism and faith like Perfect Penny, in the end, we will be okay. If we use our imaginations and never let our situations get us down, like Perfect Penny Brown, we would think life doesn’t seem so bad. I know Perfect Penny Brown’s questions all too well; why was I born in an abandoned building on a floor? Why did my mother give me away? Am I trash? We all question our circumstances, but like Perfect Penny, I imagined a new life for myself and I created it. I am super excited and proud of my youngest daughter, Serena Brown Travis, on the creation of this character and book series. This will help your children get a Perfect Penny Brown perspective on life and help you, the adult, to always find life’s silver linings!” Mamie’s Baby Boy, Les Brown www.LesBrown.com
“I wish I had this series of books when my children were younger…” Brittany T
“As an educator of 30 years I always look for books I can read my first graders after recess and during special times PERFECT PENNY is one of their favorite books. We need more books like “Perfect Penny” for our children and their parents.” Mrs. Sabrina Garcia
This book is dedicated to the many children and adults who never heard positive words before or after your name. It is dedicated to the folks who never received a wink, pat on the back, hi-five, smile, or hug of encouragement. Perfect Penny was created to remind you of your greatness, your beauty, and unlimited value. You are enough. You can do more than you could ever begin to imagine. You have greatness within. You are indeed perfect!

The Internet and Pop Culture Voting in Real-Time on Television and the Web has unleashed some of the World’s top Musical Acts and Songwriters via American Idol, the Voice, Britain’s Got Talent the X Factor & UK Songwriting Contest
Would the world know about hidden talent like Susan Boyle, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry, Taylor Hick s, Philip Phillips without faces like Simon Cowel, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Carson Daly, Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, Harry Connick, Jr., and Ryan Seacrest?
Oklahoma is known for its country music roots with singers, songwriters and performers like Garth Brooks, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and now Beverly Perry, wait a minute who is Beverly Perry you ask? As a top 13 finalist out of 10K entries in the UK Songwriting Contest you will be hearing a lot more about Lawton, OK’s own Beverly Perry
Receiving international recognition Country/Folk/Pop Singer/Songwriter Beverly Perry from Lawton, OK has made it as a top 13 finalist in the country category out of over 10K contestants with her song: “It was Real”
“This is the first songwriting competition I have ever entered. Given the thousands of entries I really didn’t expect to make it all the way to the finals. I am so honored that my first attempt was so well accepted in this prestigious international competition.”
About UK Songwriting Contest
Many entrants have been published, signed or produced by top industry figures who follow this event closely. Music producer and well know reality television judge, Simon Cowell, signed one of the winners in the past, showing this is a real chance for new songwriters to break into the music business.
“The UK Songwriting Contest directors and judges include some of the world’s top Grammy, Emmy, CMA, and BRIT Award winning producers. Judges include Sting’s producer Kipper Eldridge (see photo with UKSC winner Emma), legendary producer Stuart Epps (Elton John, Robbie Williams, Oasis), Britney Spears’ musical director and BRIT Award winnerSimon Ellis, top producer and arranger Dr Richard Niles (Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue, Take That, Mariah Carey), CMA Award winning country star Lucie Diamond, chart topping songwriter Mark Cawley, and UKSC
winner and Platinum Album artist Natalie Chua (signed by Simon Cowell after her win).
The contest was formed in association with The BRIT Trust (of BRIT Awards fame) with support from The BRIT School and The BRIT Studio in 2002 with the aim of discovering new talented songwriters and encouraging and supporting the craft of songwriting.
In the words of UK’s Channel 4 Television: “The UK Songwriting Contest does what it says on the tin! This is a real chance for new songwriters to break into the music business”.
About Beverly Perry
Following the advice of Author Brene Brown, Beverly can be seen Re-Tweeting Brown: “Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen” but for Beverly it’s more than just a Re Tweet, last summer she stepped into the studio and cranked out RIVER in just a few short months, and telling fans at her album release party in Fall of 2013 “Follow your dream – ALWAYS follow your dreams”
Perry, diagnosed with Acute Intermittent Porphyria, a rare genetic disorder, was forced to leave her successful career with a major medical company in 2011. She returned home to Lawton to be near family in 2012. “Time off has allowed me the solitude that brings about creativity. Stress is a major trigger for me. Songwriting has become an important outlet. There is something incredibly healing about creativity. There are days I can write endlessly. “It Was Real” – was literally written in 20 mins.”
Perry says she decided it was time to follow her heart and step into the studio last fall and release her debut CD ‘River’. After a warm public reception of her smooth folk/country sound and heartfelt lyrics Perry began submitting tunes to various publishing opportunities. Much to her surprise several publishers for film and television were interested resulting in all of her original tunes from the CD “River” being signed to multiple non-exclusive publishing deals. “It Was Real” – the tune submitted to the UK Songwriting Contest, was actually on hold for Kellie Pickler for quite some time. Currently Perry has several tunes on hold for projects as she continues to write from the solitude of her Lawton home.
Now as a finalist of a highly acclaimed international songwriting competition, none of her hometown Lawton, OK or more than 15,000 US fans are surprised that she’s a finalist.
In a recent interview with Okie Magazine OK reports “Beverly Perry is taking chances. But for her, the reward for her endeavors is worth the risk….Doing her own thing meant creating her own very personal music: her compilation consists of the last seven songs…Her songs serve as a snapshot of her present, but Perry also chronicles her past within her music.”
“I write music that speaks to me…it’s what I’m feeling at the moment. I’m not great at sticking to a genre. Sometimes a song wants to be pop, sometimes it leans traditional country, other times it lands into total adult contemporary. I love experimenting with genres and I don’t think that every song is for me to sing. I try to remain open”
“I’ve been writing songs…well I guess before I could even write…always making up a tune,” Beverly went on to share.

The UK Songwriting Contest is one of the world’s longest running and most popular international songwriting events. It was launched in London in 2002 in association with prestigious bodies such as The BRIT Trust (of BRIT Awards fame), The BRIT Studio, The BRIT School, Music Aid UK and top british producers and industry professionals with the aim of “discovering and encouraging new songwriting talent and promoting the craft of songwriting”. It has been supported by BBC Radio since the beginning with many radio plays of entries across the UK. Every year it becomes more international with entries from around the world and with appearances of winners on major TV shows worldwide. It is now in its thirteenth successful year and since its launch over 60,000 songs have taken part and almost £1,000,000 worth of prizes awarded to entrants. In this contest complete beginners and also experienced songwriters all compete together on an equal basis. It is well known in the international music business as an important launching pad for new songwriting talent and is known today one of the world’s best and most popular songwriting events.
No other songwriting event in the world was formed with the backing of such well respected and prestigious organisations. This means that contestants are watched closely by the music industry’s leading producers and publishers, and many finalists and semi-finalists are ‘spotted’ and go on to enjoy music careers and deals. The UKSC judging panels feature highly respected Grammy, Emmy, CMA and BRIT Award winning Gold and Platinum Album producers and artists including Sting’s producer Kipper Eldridge, Elton John’s producer Stuart Epps and Britney Spears’ Musical Director Simon Ellis among others. Many past entrants have been noticed and signed by publishers, producers and record companies – Natalie Chua for example (Open Category Winner and now a UKSC judge) received a Platinum Album Award for sales of 500,000 albums with the band Angelis after being signed by Simon Cowell. Another entrant Belle Humble (Pop Category Winner) has since written for many well known artists and has topped the charts globally with 16 million YouTube views. Many entrants receive extensive press, TV and radio coverage of their results and their songs, with royalty earning radio play for their entries. Semi Finalists, Finalists and Winners have been featured on TV nationally and internationally and a number of past winners and finalists have gone on to launch careers successfully writing for major recording artists.
OPPORTUNITIES This contest is often described in the media as “prestigious” because it is the only songwriting contest in the world that has had winning writers and finalists signed by top producers such as Simon Cowell and others, and it is the only songwriting event established in association with respected bodies such as The BRIT Trust and Music Aid International. Many entrant’s have gone on to success through the contest and have signed publishing and recording deals, have been asked to write for major artists and major TV shows, have been interviewed in the media and had their winning songs featured to millions on national TV in Australia, the USA, the UK and other European countries. Many have also received royalty earning radio play of their entries both in the UK and internationally. None of this would have happened if these songwriters had not entered their songs in the contest. Anyone who enters this contest can have similar success and could be noticed by the many top industry professionals worldwide who follow this event very closely every year looking for new songwriting talent.

This is too long, and these women are suffering and many of them have a shrink because their families think they are crazy. Too many women suffer in pain and silence and have no idea what is wrong with them. My crowd-funding campaign launches this week and I’m hopeful to raise awareness and the funds I need to translate my book into Russian, Polish, Lithuanian, French and German.
