Adam Mellor had a dream as a boy growing up on the mission field and that dream was to play soccer.
Fast forward a decade and a half later and a College scholarship that landed him in Kansas he we was ready to play. An injury, however, would say otherwise but Mellor never let go of his dream. His love and appreciation for the support makes it the second time Adam has brought Professional Soccer back to the city of Tulsa.
The Tulsa Roughnecks had a great run in Tulsa the late 70’s to early 80’s several of those early players became somewhat famous i.e.: Charlie Mitchell, owner of Charlie Mitchell’s restaurants. Follow the Tulsa Revolution and their news here and on Twitter @TulsaProSoccer.

The Tulsa Revolution is the brainchild of Adam Mellor, a local soccer enthusiast. He started the Tulsa Revolution in February 2007 and operated the team in the 2007/08 season in the American Indoor Soccer League. Adam’s passion is soccer, and his dream is to see a professional team in Northeast Oklahoma that will provide a stable franchise. Adam has a strong background in soccer; he grew up in Wales, GB and was involved in soccer as a player and at many coaching levels. Adam mentored under two retired international players, Mark Aizlewood of Wales & Tommy Hutchinson of Scotland. He obtained his coaching license through UEFA and was involved in the Rhondda CynonTaff development schools as a coach at age 16. During his youth he was invited for a trial at Cardiff City AFC youth development program which he was unable to complete as his family moved back to Oklahoma in 2000. Adam has stayed involved with soccer during his time in Oklahoma but has a dream to further his ambition of a stable, professional Oklahoma soccer franchise.

Shannon Clark is an avid soccer fan that lives and works in the Tulsa area. Shannon was born and raised in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, where he still currently lives with his wife and five children. Shannon spent several years of his youth playing soccer with the Broken Arrow Soccer Club, along with his two brothers, until sustaining a leg injury that caused him to take a break from the sport.

Shannon currently works as a full time law enforcement official in the Tulsa area and has served in that official capacity for more than two decades. As a past time Shannon  enjoys promoting the sport of soccer while participating as an adult player, coach, referee, soccer dad and now a soccer franchise owner. Shannon has coached several different levels of soccer, most recently, he was the 2011/2012 head coach for the Tulsa Memorial Chargers 5A girls varsity soccer team. Shannon continues to referee at a competitive level along with being an official for OSSAA (Oklahoma Secondary School Athletic Association) high school soccer.

Shannon is excited that he and his business partner Adam Mellor can bring a PASL franchise to Tulsa and showcase some of the exceptional soccer talent this area has to offer while giving all the soccer fans in this region the opportunity to watch some of the most exciting, fast paced, soccer action in a climate controlled atmosphere.

Social Media Brings Dollars to Oklahoma Kelsie Berg, OU Student Wins Dr Pepper Tuition Challenge & $100K Scholarship Featured At BCS Halftime Show Parents How to Fund College Education!  OU Sooner Kelsie Berg Wins Dr. Pepper Tuition Challenge & $100,000 at BCS Game

M3 New New is pleased to announce that Kelsie Berg, Miss Broken Arrow, is the Official Winner of the Dr. Pepper Tuition Challenge and will be featured during the Halftime show at the BCS Orange Bowl Game on Monday in Florida between Alabama and Notre Dame.

Kelsie’s decision to stay and study in Oklahoma has positive impact on state’s economy as she prepares for Miss Oklahoma and sees her platform go viral says Michael D. Butler.

Paying for college can be a daunting task for parents in the midst of fiscal cliff’s, recession and economic crisis. Many parents and teens are turning to the Internet and for good reason – more and more Global and National Brands are promoting Online Social Media Contests to do Scholarship Giveaways.

Kelsie Berg has been declared the official winner of the Dr. Pepper Tuition Challenge and the winner of the $100,000 scholarship fund. Kelsie is a 2012 grad of Broken Arrow and was recently crowned Miss Broken Arrow, is attending the University of Oklahoma. She is getting her undergrad in Mass Communications and her post graduate work will be in Law.

Kelsie will be featured during the BCS halftime show when the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Alabama Crimson Tide square off Monday night in Miami Gardens Florida.

“When you think about it – it just makes sense, says Michael D. Butler, CMO at M3 New Media. National Brands like Dr. Pepper need a younger crowd with established friendship networks to bring viewers and eyeballs back to Network Television. We recently helped our clients reconnect with niched demographics in opening for the Beach Boys, get movie deals, fund free agents in the NFL between gigs and professional boxers during training between title bouts.

“I saw the Dr. Pepper Challenge Online and decided to go for it…and I’m glad I did!” Kelsie

You could say Kelsie and her Social Media story is already positively affecting the University of Oklahoma, local Tulsa and Broken Arrow businesses as she decides to spend her new tuition dollars in Oklahoma. Sunsations Tulsa has agreed to let Kelsie tan for Free and many Oklahomans eyes will be on Kelsie as she competes for Miss Oklahoma in June. Michael D. Butler says, “There are a ton of local Oklahoma individuals and business owners to thank for supporting Kelsie and getting her to Florida for the final competition. Including Sunsations Tulsa, Tyler Jones Radio Group, Broken Arrow Merchants and M3 New Media clients and Fans.
